Howdy,

My name is Jim Fitzgerald. I'm a retired Aerosol Chemist and an amateur Web Designer. I got involved with web design while creating a website for my condominium association. After struggling with several "pre-designed" templates, I decided to take control. I bought a couple of books on web design and started reading....and designing.

Goodbye templates! All of the sites you see here were designed by yours truly, and all validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS Level 2.1 using the corresponding W3C Validation Services.

Brookwood Forest Condominiums

The condominium site was designed to benefit our Members as well as prospective buyers. It contains photographs of the property, copies of the Condominium Documents, meeting minutes, driving directions, and links to nearby shops and restaurants.

Aerosol Technology Consulting

This is a site that I designed to promote my aerosol consulting business in Atlanta. Soon after uploading the site, I received an email from a gentleman in Saudi Arabia looking for someone to design an aerosol plant. Although I declined the offer, that email illustrates the potential of a website to expand a business.

This photogallery site has features that both the viewer and the photographer will appreciate. These features include intuitive navigation, scrollable thumbnail images, an optional description panel, multiple transition effects and accommodation for different aspect ratios.

Here's a photogallery site that displays photographs in a modal window. The modal window is a good way to handle large images because it overlies the website and is therefore unrestricted by the site's dimensions. This particular version will display video as well as photographs.

The Nicotine Trap

I quit smoking a couple of years ago after smoking for 45 years. In the process I learned that nicotine does not provide the benefits that most smokers believe it provides. Understanding this allows the smoker to quit without any feeling of deprivation.

120 Alden Avenue

I designed this site for a friend who's a real estate agent. It's an online brochure for property listings where the property address is the registered domain name. Since it's intended for short-term use, it's basically a disposable website. I can plug in the data for a new listing and have the site up and running in a couple of hours.
